Hi, I'm Meghanto!
I'm a first-year CS PhD student at the University of Houston. I have an MS from the University of Oregon and spent time at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory working on scientific visualization, high-performance computing and workload management. I'm drawn to the messy, interesting challenges where computation meets real scientific data.
I build things—sometimes research tools, sometimes automation scripts, sometimes just experiments to see what's possible. Outside of research, I play chess, listen to way too much music, and get unreasonably interested in urban planning, GIS, the OEIS and a lot more! I'm always looking for problems worth solving and people worth learning from.
